THERAPEUTIC PILATES

We offer three approaches to help you feel better in your body:

- The "house specialty" is the Pilates Therapeutic Exercise approach which is one on one Pilates. Please note that better results are often achieved when paired with the following:

o Structural Integration: manual therapy sessions of 90 to 120 minutes. The client plays an active role during the session. Provides exceptional relief from chronic pain.

o Massage therapy: sessions are 30, 60 or 90 minutes long. Helps reduce stress, muscles tension and relief from certain chronic pain conditions.

All our team members collaborate in order to coordinate your treatment plan toward optimal results. Please contact the reception desk for an appointment. Insurance receipts available.

Therapeutic Pilates Exercises

Therapeutic Pilates sessions are done in private, in a one on one environment. The instructor evaluates the clients' conditions and designs an adapted exercise program that will enable to re-establish muscle support and mobility around the injured structure. Bad postural habits are at the root of many back and joint problems. Through adapted and non-violent therapeutic Pilates exercises, clients can re-learn to move their bodies in a more efficient manner that will contribute to keep their spines and articulations healthy and pain free. Insurance receipts are available.

Offered by our instructor who are certified Therapeutic Pilates on apparatus. Please refer to the team page to have the list of our certified instructor.

Structural Integration KMI

Structural Integration is a process that can balance and realign the body over a series of twelve sessions. It’s a deep form of bodywork in which the client plays an active role during each of the manipulations, which leads to the integration of new possibilities of movement, perception, and understanding of one’s own body.

Through liberating the body from its constraints, Structural Integration improves posture and the fluidity of movements, improves the physiological functioning of the body, reduces the effects of stress and injuries, and increases the amount of energy and vitality. It becomes a lot easier to truly enjoy your life! Insurance receipts are available.

KMI? What does that mean?

KMI (Kinesis Myofascial Integration) is a brand of structural integration (SI), which is the term used by Ida Rolf for her work. There are currently sixteen schools recognized by the International Association of Structural Integration (IASI) . KMI is based on Tom Myers‘ evolution of Ida Rolf’s work, and uses his Anatomy Trains theory of myofascial meridians. We are trained to work with sensitivity in our manipulations, with an emphasis on movement, comprehensive postural analysis, and great anatomical precision, while being attuned to the subtle physiological signs of emotional state.
