Structural Integration

Discover the world of Structural Integration KMI with Noémie Chabot: the perfect complement to your Pilates activities!

I received several types of treatments during my life, and obtained the best sensation of release in my neck and shoulders following a session with Noemie.

Ann McMillan, AMP President and founder
When I went to Noémie I was 60, and I thought joint pain and being stiff was just part of the package of aging. Not true it would appear. From the first session I was amazed at how quickly my body was being freed up.

Structural Integration KMI (Kinesis Myofascial Integration) is a manual therapy approach that balances and realigns the body. It's a deep form of bodywork in which the client plays an active role during the manipulations. This work allows for rapid yet lasting changes and is a great companion to Pilates!

Through liberating the body from its constraints, Structural Integration reduces and often eliminates pain. It improves posture and fluidity of movement. It reduces the effects of stress and injuries, and increases the amount of energy. It becomes a lot easier to truly enjoy your life!

Structural Integration is a unique and distinct approach, different from massage therapy and osteopathy, which generates completely different sensations and involves the client in a very specific way.

You will gain…

- Better posture: the body corrects itself naturally, without effort.
- More energy, more strength and more vitality.
- Reduction and perhaps disappearance of chronic pain.
- Better stress management capacities.
- Greater movement efficiency, better coordination.
- A better functioning body which opens new possibilities!

If you want to…

…feel more at ease in your body, there is a strong chance that structural integration is for you. It is particularly efficient in cases of chronic pain, scoliosis, recovery from an injury, stiffness, respiratory problems, lack of energy and burn-out, and various other limitations in your daily life.

Athletes and artists who wish to improve and fine-tune their performance have also much to gain from this method.
Clients from 5 to 78 years old have consulted, with very different issues. Each person's structure has specific needs. Noémie will be more than happy to discuss your particular situation to see if Structural Integration is a viable option for you.

During a session:

The first session begins with a health questionnaire. We will then evaluate posture and certain movements, and take pictures to have a record of the changes through the sessions. Session take place in underwear. The manipulations are deep and slow, and can be done on the table, on a bench, or standing.

Clients participate in the work by executing precise movements during most of the manipulations. We work as a team however, and the level of manipulations is adjusted according to your needs and capability. Although sessions require active participation, you will leave with a great sensation of relaxation through your whole body.

Noémie Chabot B.A. , BCSI®

Passionate about health, the wonders of human body and of its incredible potential for change, Noémie first encountered Structural Integration in 2006. After studying with Tom Myers, she graduated in 2008, and now helps people free themselves from chronic pain, improve performance, and simply rediscover the joy of being at ease in their own bodies. In addition to her commitment to continuing education, she is currently a teaching assistant for Tom Myers in the Structural Integration training program in the U.S., co-director of the Fleur d'Asphalte dance and creation studio, and feels privileged to be able to work with the high-level team at Ann McMillan Pilates.
